Microsoft Outlook 98 and 2000

Step 1
Open Microsoft Outlook

Step 2
On the Tools menu, select Accounts. The Internet Accounts dialog will appear.Go over to the Mail tab to see if any accounts are already set up. If you aren't going to be using this software for any other email services, remove any accounts that are there so the window is blank.

Step 3
Click the Add button and select Mail.

Step 4
You will be prompted to enter your name. Enter your name as you would like it to appear on messages you send. When someone reiceves your mail, it will show that it came from whatever is entered here. When you're done, click Next.

Step 5
Enter your email address. Do this in the format username@domainname and click next when finished.



Step 6
Set the incoming mail server to a POP3 server. Fill in the Incoming mail server (pop3.ipop.com), Fill in the Outgoing mail Server (smtp.ipop.com). Click Next when you've done this:



Step 7
Now you'll need to enter the following Your Account name (username) and password. Your account name will be your full Email address.



Step 8
Now, click Finish to save all of your information.


Step 9
You'll notice that the Internet Accounts dialog box now shows our mail server as being installed.

Step 10
Select the account from the dialog box and click Properties.

Step 11
Now click the the Severs Tab and check the box the reads: My sever requires Authentication

Step 12
Click OK. You can click Close to get back into Outlook and your done.
