Netscape 6

To configure Netscape 6 to use your Netscape Online email address, first open Netscape 6 and from the Tasks menu click Mail & Newsgroups. This will bring up the Netscape 6 Mail window.

Open the Edit pull-down menu and click on Mail/News Account Settings. This will open the 'Account Settings' window.

Click Remove Accounts if any are listed. Then Click on the New Account button to launch the 'Account Wizard' .

Click the radio button ISP or Email provider then click Next.

In the 'Identity' window,enter your name as you would like it to appear in the emails you send. In the 'Email Address' box enter your Netscape Online email address in the format: username@yourdomain.com. When you have finished entering these details, click Next

In the 'Incoming Server' area, you should have the 'Server Type' set to POP Mail Server and the 'Server Name' should be: mail.ipop.com

In the 'Outgoing (SMTP) Server' area, enter mail.ipop.com into the 'Server Name:' field.

Once you have entered these details, click Next.

You will now be asked for your 'User Name', this is the name used to log into the POP Mail Server and collect your email. You need to enter this in the form of your full email address but replace the '@' symbol with an asterisk '*'. For example, type 'username*yourdomain.com' in the 'User Name' field. Click Next

The 'Account name' is purely for your own reference. Type in an appropriate name like 'Netscape Online' or your own name.

Click on Next and then Finish.

Netscape 6 Mail is now configured and ready to use.
